Former Sri Lankan cricketer Thilina Kandamby has decided to step down as coach of the Jaffna Kings team in the Lankan Premier League (LPL).
He is considered to be a successful head coach of franchise cricket in Sri Lanka.
In addition, training under him, the Jaffna Kings team was able to become champions in 3 matches including the inaugural LPL match held in 2020.

As I pen down these words, a wave of mixed emotions engulfs me, but it is with a grateful heart that I announce my decision to step down as the Head Coach of the incredible franchise @KingsJaffna.
