Nuwara Eliya District Secretary Thushari Tennakoon stated that four roads, including the Kandy-Nuwara Eliya road, which had been blocked by landslides due to heavy rains, have been restored to normal.

This was during a media briefing held at the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat yesterday (10) afternoon.

She further stated that the above roads will be opened to heavy vehicles based on the recommendations of the National Building Research Organization.
