Kenyan Kelvin Kiptum, who holds the men's marathon world record, has lost his life in a car accident.
He was involved in this accident while traveling in a car on a road near Eldoret, Kenya.
It is said that his trainer Gervais Hakizimana, a Rwanda, was with him at the time of the accident.
Kelvin Kiptum had broken the world record set by Eliud Kipchoge in the Berlin Marathon.
That was in October last year, completing 26.1 miles in two hours and 35 seconds.
