The world's largest container ship, MSC MARIELLA, has arrived at the Easte International Container Terminal of the Colombo Port for operations.

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority stated that this ship can be described as the largest container ship to arrive at a container terminal in Sri Lanka.

The MSC MARIELLA container ship, built in 2023, is reported to have a length of 399.90 meters.

The ship's width is also 61.30 meters.
