The Ministry of Defense announced that only one firearm will be issued per individual for personal safety. The decision follows a recent survey on firearms conducted by the Ministry.

If a person requires more than one firearm, a security analysis will be carried out, and appropriate measures will be taken. However, the Ministry emphasized that the final decision on issuing additional firearms will rest with them.

Currently, surveys regarding firearms issued to civilians are being conducted at the Ministry of Defense premises. It was revealed that over 1,500 firearms have been issued to civilians, with some individuals receiving more than one weapon.

Previously, the Ministry instructed civilians to retu firearms that had been issued to them.
