Member of Parliament Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam has been arrested.

The Police Media Spokesperson said that it was at his home in Kollupitiya area.
 
He was arrested by a special police team from Kilinochchi.

Recently, the arrest was made in connection with the dispute between a group of police officers near an examination center in Vadamarachchi area.
 
Yesterday (06) the Kilinochchi Magistrate's Court also ordered to impose a foreign travel ban on the Member of Parliament Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam in connection with the incident.
