Major border crossing reopens after a decade

A major border crossing between Iraq and Syria has reopened after more than a decade.

Foreign media reported that the route could be used as an alte ative to the Strait of Hormuz, which has been the center of the Iran-Iraq war and is currently in a very problematic situation.
