A primary objective of the current gove ment is to select a specific period of time, such as one or two years, for every citizen over the age of 40 living in the country to undergo medical examinations within the next 5 years, said Deputy Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni.
Participating in the inauguration of the 5th “Suwa Udana” mobile health clinic program that provides health to the rural people, he said.
He also mentioned that the current gove ment’s national policy includes a long-term program to provide necessary treatment services for the diseases identified through it.
The Deputy Minister further stated that steps have been taken to implement it by now through the Ministry of Health.
