The Mahara Magistrate's Court today (24) ordered the remand of former Minister Mervyn Silva.

The Criminal Investigation Department recently arrested Mervyn Silva in the Battaramulla area in Pelawatte in connection with an incident of selling a government-owned land in the Kiribathgoda area by preparing fake documents.

In addition to the former minister, two other people have been arrested.

Accordingly, it is reported that the suspects, including former Minister Mervyn Silva, have been ordered to be remanded until April 3rd after being produced before the Mahara Magistrate's Court today.
