The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Jaffna District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 24% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 80,830 votes, securing the district win, while the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) came in second with 63,327 votes (19.47%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 3 seats in Jaffna District, with the ITAK winning 1 seat, ALTC winning 1 seat and IG17 winning 1 seat.

• National People’s Power (NPP): 80,830 votes – 3 seats
• Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK): 63,327 votes – 1 seat
• All Ceylon Tamil Congress (ACTC): 27,986 votes - 1 seat
• Independent Group 17: 27,855 votes - 1 seat
• Democratic Tamil National Alliance: 22,513 votes
