Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera has been appointed as the new Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

It is reported that this appointment has been made with effect from today (04).

Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera, who is currently serving as the Director General of Air Operations, joined the Sri Lanka Air Force in 1991.

It is reported that Air Vice Marshal Sampath Wickramaratne, who served as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force, has retired from service with effect from yesterday (03).
