The new Labour Commissioner General, Nadeeka Wataliyadda, has commenced work in her post today (24).

This was at the Labour Department located in the Mehwara Piyasa Building, Narahenpita.

It is reported that she is an Honors Degree holder in Geography from the University of Peradeniya.

Nadeeka Wataliyadda is the third woman to be appointed as Labour Commissioner General in the history of the Labour Department.
