MP Lakmali Hemachandra has been appointed as the chairperson of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Economic Development and International Relations.

The inaugural meeting of the committee was held in Parliament today (22).

MP Wijesiri Basnayake proposed Lakmali Hemachandra for the position of chairperson.

It is reported that MP Kandasamy Prabhu has subsequently confirmed it.
