The Sri Lanka Athletics Association election has been postponed.

The Director General of Sports stated that this decision has been taken due to the appeal filed regarding the rejection of applications for this year's election.

The Director General of Sports has informed the current Secretary of the Athletics Association about this in a letter.

The letter states that the date for the 2025 Sri Lanka Athletics Association election will be announced later.

The 2025 Sri Lanka Athletics Association general meeting and election are scheduled to be held tomorrow (18) at the National Library Auditorium in Colombo.
