The National Cancer Control Program says that about 900 childhood cancer patients are reported in the country annually.

Its specialist Dr. Suraj Perera stated that no specific cause for childhood cancer has been identified.

Parents have also been informed to refer their child to a doctor as soon as possible if there is any sudden change in their child.
