Based on the disaster situation that has hit the entire island and the upcoming festive season, the gove ment has decided to provide a nutritional allowance worth Rs. 5,000 to pregnant women.

This allowance is to be provided only once to pregnant women registered at mate ity clinics until November 30, 2025.

This is to be distributed through the Divisional Secretariats starting December 16.
