The Sri Lankan Parliament has clarified that the title 'Dr.' appearing in front of Minister of Justice and National Integration Atto ey-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara's name on its official website was due to an error in data entry.

In a statement addressing media reports, the Parliament confirmed that the Minister did not include the title 'Dr.' in the information sheet he submitted. Steps have since been taken to correct the mistake.

The Parliament also issued an apology to Minister Nanayakkara for any inconvenience caused by the error. Additionally, efforts are underway to re-check and update the information of all members of parliament on the website to ensure accuracy.
