Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that the gove ment is ready to establish an 'Education Council' for a transformation of education.

This was while participating in a ceremony held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Education Leadership Development and Management located in Meegoda of the National Institute of Education.

She stated that developing professionalism and quality in the education sector will be two of the primary objectives of establishing the Education Council.
