Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya announced that a program will be implemented to merge teacher training colleges and universities.

This was in Parliament today (22).

The Prime Minister also stated that steps will be taken to recruit 2175 scholarship recipients.

She further said that funds have been allocated from the budget to increase the hostels and other facilities they need.
