The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be occasional rains in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts.
 
The announcement also states that several rainy seasons will occur in the North-West Province, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

In Uva and Easte Provinces and in Polonnaruwa District, there may be scattered rain or thundershowers in the evening or at night.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
