Road Development Authority Director General F. M. P. Suriya Bandara says that steps have been taken to deploy Special Task Force officers to expressway services from last night (10).

He stated that steps have been taken to deploy these officers for life-saving and firefighting services in case of accidents on the Southe Expressway, Southe Expressway Extension, Colombo Outer Ring Road, New Kelani Bridge, and Colombo-Katunayake Roads.

The Ministry of Defense had taken steps to remove the Police Special Task Force from those activities a year ago with the 'Justice' operation carried out during the previous gove ment.
