Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says the Sri Lankan rupee is under severe pressure and the government has no clear plan or answer to resolve it.

He made this statement in a post on his X account.

He further stated that he and other party leaders met the speaker, requesting a parliamentary debate on the current crisis in the country.

He also stressed the need for honesty with the people and immediate action before the current situation worsens further.
