Sampath Manamperi, who is wanted for arrest in connection with the discovery of two containers containing chemicals suspected of being used to manufacture the drug Ice in the Middeniya area, was prepared to surrender to the relevant Magistrate's Court by his lawyer recently.

Accordingly, he surrendered to the Walasmulla Magistrate's Court today (17).

It is reported that Sampath Manamperi has been ordered to be detained for questioning in the custody of the Police Narcotics Bureau for 7 days.

Walasmulla Magistrate Malsha Kodituwakku has issued this order.
