The Meteorological Department says that there will be occasional showers in the Northe , North-Central, Central, Uva, Easte and Southe provinces today (18).

The Department stated that some places in the Easte and Uva provinces and in the Polonnaruwa, Matale and Nuwara Eliya districts will receive fairly heavy showers exceeding 75 mm.

The Meteorological Department further stated that showers or thundershowers may occur at places in other areas after 1.00 pm.
