Two young women and a young man have drowned.

They were bathing near the Daluwa estuary in the Norochcholay Police Division.

The deceased young man is 25 years old, and the two deceased young women are 18 and 19 years old, residents of Puttalam.

Police stated that the bodies in question have been deposited at the Puttalam Hospital morgue.
