The Department of Meteorology has issued a wa ing regarding heavy lightning.

The wa ing states that there is a risk of heavy rains and lightning in some areas of the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North Central, Uva, Northweste , and Mannar districts in the afte oon.
