Several regulations under the Sri Lanka Export Development Act, Port and Airport Development Tax Act, Special Merchandise Tax Act, Import and Export Control Act and Employees' Trust Fund Act are to be passed during today's session of the Assembly.
It is also stated that the opposition's adjou ment debate on the Express Pearl disaster is scheduled to be held tomorrow (10).
It is reported that the second reading of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Bill is scheduled to take place during the session of the Parliament which will meet on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held this afte oon.
It is reported that a decision will be taken about the appointment of new members for the other four independent commissions including the Election Commission.
