The price of gold in this country has decreased by Rs.1,000 compared to yesterday (03).

Accordingly, the price of a pound of '22 carat' gold at the Colombo Hetti Street Gold Market this mo ing (04) has dropped to Rs. 293,200.

Yesterday, it was recorded at Rs. 294,000.

Meanwhile, the price of a pound of '24 carat' gold has dropped to Rs. 317,000 today, down from Rs. 318,000 yesterday.
