The police are requesting the public to refrain from coming for the Sri Dalada pilgrimage in the next 02 days.

This is due to the fact that the arrival of devotees has increased further.

Police say that more than three hundred thousand devotees have already gathered in queues in Kandy city for the Sri Dalada pilgrimage.

As a result, a sufficient number of devotees have already arrived for the Sri Dalada pilgrimage on the two days of tomorrow (24) and the day after tomorrow (25). If more devotees arrive in the next two days, the newly arriving devotees will not be able to perform the pilgrimage.
