The Sri Lankan gove ment has taken steps to provide financial assistance of one million US dollars to provide relief to the people of Myanmar who were affected by the recent earthquake.
It is reported that the relevant check was presented to the Myanmar Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Marlar Than Htaik, by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, today (10).
This was at the Presidential Secretariat.
The Sri Lankan ambassador to Myanmar stated that she would like to express her gratitude to the gove ment, including President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, for providing financial assistance to the affected people of Myanmar despite the ongoing economic crisis.
