A decision has been made to temporarily suspend the operation of businessman Elon Musk's Starlink satellite broadband services in the country.

Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne stated that the process has been suspended until the right to secure data and communication information is ensured.

The Ministry of Defense and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission are reportedly holding further discussions with Starlink in this regard.
