A strong earthquake has struck the US state of Alaska.

Foreign media reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.3 on the Richter scale.

As a result, a tsunami wa ing has been issued for the coastal region of Alaska.

The earthquake is reported to have occurred 87 kilometers away from Sand Point Island in Alaska and at a depth of 20 kilometers.
