Passenger train services on the Puttalam line, which were temporarily suspended after Cyclone Ditva hit the island last year, have been extended to Puttalam railway station from tomorrow (16).

The Railway Department stated that the Puttalam railway line will be fully reopened accordingly.

The line had previously been opened to Negombo, Kochchikade, Nattandiya, and Kuda Wewa railway stations in several phases.
