Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources Ratna Gamage stated in Parliament today (12) that the Lanka Fisheries Corporation will not be liquidated.

This was in response to a question posed by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

The minister further stated that a pension scheme for fishermen will also be established on the upcoming Inte ational Fisheries Day, which falls on November 21st.
