The Postal Department says it is preparing to take action against postal workers who are on strike and no longer reporting for work.

Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara stated that the Ministry of Health and Mass Media will also be informed and the same action will be taken.

Postal workers are engaged in this strike against a backdrop where holidays have also been canceled.

Convener of the Joint Postal Trade Union Association Chinthaka Bandara stated that the strike will not be called off until a solution is found to the problem.
