The Meteorological Department says that showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in several areas of the island tomorrow (29) evening or night.

The department, issuing a statement, stated that heavy rains of about 100 mm are likely to occur in some places in the Central, Uva, Easte , and North-Central provinces tomorrow.

The Meteorological Department urges the public to take adequate measures to minimize damage caused by strong winds and lightning.
