Sri Lanka Customs reports that they have earned a record revenue of Rs. 2,497 billion over the past year.
Customs Media Spokesperson and Director of Customs Chandana Punchihewa stated that the revenue target given to Customs by the Ministry of Finance for the year 2025 was Rs. 2115 billion.
Accordingly, he stated that Customs was able to collect a revenue that exceeded that revenue by the month of November.
He further stated that this revenue was revised from Rs. 2115 billion to Rs. 2231 billion by the month of November.
However, the Customs Media Spokesperson further stated that the revised target has now also been exceeded.
