All ten IPL franchises have announced the players they will retain and the players they will release for the upcoming 2024 edition.

Among them, several Sri Lankan players including Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka have been released from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans respectively.

It has also been informed that Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been released from the squad by the Punjab Kings team.

However, Chennai Super Kings have decided to retain Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana and spinner Maheesh Theekshana for the upcoming season.

The IPL 2024 auction is scheduled to be held on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
