The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 9-hour suspension of water supply to several areas in Colombo tomorrow.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that water supply will be suspended for 9 hours tomorrow (18) to several areas in Colombo.

The board stated that the water supply from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant has had to be suspended due to the interruption of electricity supply to the main pumping station that receives water from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

Accordingly, it has been decided to suspend the water supply from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm.

It is also reported that the water supply will be suspended in areas from Colombo 01 to 15.

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that water supply will be suspended in the following areas: Battaramulla, Pelawatta, Hokandara, Koswatta, Thalawathugoda, Kotte, Rajagiriya, Mirihana, Madiwela, Nugegoda, Nawala, Kolonnawa, IDH, Kotikawatta, Angoda, Wellampitiya, Orugodawatta, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Dehiwala, Ratmalana, and Moratuwa.
