The Meteorological Department says that the depression in the southeaste Bay of Bengal is developing into a deep depression.

The Meteorological Department stated that the depression will develop into a cyclone today (27).

The Meteorological Department further stated that Cyclone Monta is expected to develop further into a severe cyclonic storm tomorrow morning (28) and move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast.

The Indian media has named this cyclone 'Montha.'
