Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara says Sri Lanka has received USD 1,867 million as remittances from migrant workers in the first four months of this year.
Workers’ remittances directed through official channels in the month of April were USD 454 and it stood at USD 248.9 million in April 2022.
This is an increase of 82.4 percent or USD 205.1 million compared to the inflows recorded in April 2022.
In March this, Sri Lanka received a record USD 568.3 million as remittances from expatriate workers.
