The gove ment has announced that the official visit of Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will be limited to one day due to a sudden illness.

The Prime Minister of Thailand was scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for a two-day official visit.

That is to participate as the chief guest in the 76th Independence Day celebration.

However, the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mr. Ashoka Priyantha emphasized that the Prime Minister of Thailand will participate in the Independence Day ceremony for a short period of one hour in respect of the invitation of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
