The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be rain or thundershowers in the Easte and Uva Provinces, Mulativu and Vavuniya Districts in places during the evening or at night.

It also stated that there will be little rain in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
