The Department of Meteorology says that there may be some rain in the easte and southe provinces.

The department has informed that foggy conditions can be expected in many provinces of the island in the mo ing.

There will be mainly rainless weather in the sea areas around the island.

Winds are blowing from the north-east direction and the wind speed is 1 km/h. It is said to be around 30-40.

From Colombo to Puttalam and Mannar to Kankasanthurai and from Pottuvil to Matara via Hambantota, the wind speed in the sea areas off the coast will be 50-55 km/h at times.

The Department of Meteorology further informs that the sea areas off the coast from Colombo to Kankasanthurai via Puttalam and Mannaram and from Pottuvil to Matara via Hambantota may be rough from time to time.
