Motor Transport Commissioner General Mr. Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe says that the income tax number will be mandatory from next February when registering traffic and transferring a vehicle.

Accordingly, Mr. Weerasinghe further said that there will be no opportunity to register cars without the income tax number from February and people are requested not to waste their time by coming to the Motor Transport Commissioner Department without that number.
