This year, 23 thoran have been created in Colombo alone to mark the Vesak Full Moon Poya.

The police stated that the Thoran has been created in areas such as Kosgas Junction, Orugodawatte, Thotalanga, Dematagoda Borella, Peliyagoda, Kiribathgoda, Kottawa, Maharagama, Piliyandala, and Bellanwila.

Vesak Thoran has also been created in many areas, including Moratuwa, Dehiwala, Malabe, and Athurugiriya.
