The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be rain or thundershowers in a few places in the Uva province and Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts during the evening or at night.

There may be some rain in the Weste Province and Ratnapura, Galle and Matara districts.
 
There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
