A discussion has been held with the representatives of the World Bank and Minister Kanchana Wijesekera regarding the restructuring of the Ceylon Electricity Board.

The Ministry of Power and Energy mentioned that there was a long discussion about the restructuring programs in the power sector and the future activities of the sector.

The World Bank's executive director for Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh has joined the discussion.

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has expressed his gratitude for the financial support provided by the World Bank for the wind power projects as well as renewable energy in the country.
