A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck at a depth of 69 km off the island of Siargao in the Philippines, the United States Geological Survey said.
Foreign media reported that the quake shook buildings but caused no damage in Thailand.
The quake came a week after two earthquakes measuring 7.4 and 6.7 on the Richter scale struck the easte part of Mindanao Island.
