A special gazette notification has been issued stating that goods that are covered by the standard specifications should not be manufactured, packaged, distributed, transported, stored, or sold without the SLS Certificate.

This was issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority.

The gazette notification further states that the law will come into force from April 1, 2026.
